Optimize Your Brand’s Social Presence

Social media for business

Meet your audiences where they are online with the power of social media marketing.

Supporting your multimedia projects with social media not only expands your content’s reach, but it also positions you as a thought leader with a voice of authority on the channels that matter most to your audiences.

Social media has become an indispensable tool for businesses in all industries to connect with customers. Developing an effective social strategy is key to driving brand awareness, generating leads, and increasing sales.

An effective social presence fuels brand visibility, site traffic, lead generation, sales, and much more. With compelling creative and strategic audience targeting, you can accelerate growth through social while building enthusiast communities and relationships.

Content is key – tailor your content to your audience. Understand their interests and deliver content that resonates with them.

Attract, engage, and retain your audience by creating and sharing relevant articles, videos, podcasts, and other media. These approaches establish expertise, promote brand awareness, and keep your business top of mind.

Lean content creation is simply one of the best hacks in social media. Everyone likes to consume content in different ways, so how can you maximize your engagement? One of my favorite quotes from our very own Mary DellaValle, Director of content for AftermarketNews and Counterman, is, “You can take one piece of killer content, slice and dice it, and stretch it across multiple platforms.”

Major platforms each offer unique opportunities. Shop owners can display their products, repair shops can offer their services, etc. With so many platforms and features available, determining where to focus and how to cut through the noise can be challenging. What are the best practices for leveraging the top social networks?

Facebook:

  • Create a business page to promote your brand, products, or services.
  • Give your audience a behind the scenes look at your brand – share photos of events, new product launches, etc.
  • Take advantage of advertisements – specifically target the demographic or group you are looking for to increase your engagement.
  • Create high-quality, engaging, and relevant content – don’t sacrifice quality for quantity.
  • Participate with your audience often to establish yourself as a knowledgeable resource.

Instagram:

  • Know who you are trying to reach and write for them. The setup; introduction, explanation, call to action.
  • Hashtags and geotags can help people discover your brand identity.
  • Utilize Instagram stories for real-time coverage of events, showcasing products, etc.
  • Create promoted ads and posts to reach broader audiences aligned with your goals.
  • Track performance data and analytics to refine your approach and capitalize on what it resonates.

Twitter (or X):

  • Establish thought leadership and industry expertise.
  • Share links to articles, comment on trending industry news, and interact with other brands.
  • Post updates and insights that provide value to your followers.
  • Utilize trends to reach new audiences.

YouTube:

  • Target keywords potential customers search related to your products, tutorials, how-tos, etc. – Include these in titles, descriptions, and tags.
  • Interact with your audience.
  • Analyze your metrics – view rate, traffic sources, and audience retention to allow you to refine your approach over time.

LinkedIn:

  • Share relevant and informative content, including articles, blog posts, videos, and industry news.
  • Cross-promote your profile on other social media platforms to increase your page likes or connections.

Cross-promoting allows assets, messaging, call-to-action to work synergistically across every channel you use, maximizing engagement on all platforms. Cross-promoting expands reach, increases awareness, demonstrates authority, fosters engagement, and so much more! The combined effect makes cross-promotion a highly effective marketing technique.
