Why is it important to pay attention to the details?

For one thing, it could save a life.

I read this article from the Today Show about how a text message from the father of a newborn baby to his wife averted certain disaster. It made me think of the vital role experts play every day in helping us stay safe and avoid accidents.

The new dad was asked to report back to his wife about their newborn son on her first day back at work. The dad snapped a photo of his sleeping son in his car seat.  The new mom recognized a major problem – the straps were too loose and not in the proper location across the baby’s chest. Ironically, the man was hit by car only minutes later. Luckily, by making the adjustments recommended by his wife, the father saved his son’s life.
