Your Audience is Listening: Podcast & Video Interview Opportunities

Social distancing guidelines have recently compelled all of us to get creative with how we connect with others in both our personal and professional lives. This past weekend, I had ‘virtual brunch’ with a friend who lives in LA. We haven’t lived in the same city for over 10 years and never thought to have a meal together unless we traveled to see each other.  With extra time at home, we finally spent time together beyond a quick phone call or text message.

I’m seeing this extra effort in my professional connections as well. One of our sales representatives shared that he has been reaching out to his clients and sharing fond memories from previous outings and tradeshows “just to spread some joy.”

Although we may not be able to meet in person, the Babcox team is always here to listen and talk with you. Our editors have been talking with clients in various ways, including via podcast and video interviews.

Whether you want to create a custom podcast or sponsor an episode of an existing Babcox brand series, podcasts provide the opportunity to reach industry professionals and enthusiasts. According to recent studies, 51% of the US population has listened to a podcast and 32% listen to podcasts at least every month. Over 60% of podcasts are listened to at home or in the car.

If you’ve never recorded a podcast remotely, our experts will be your guide. Babcox Editors can connect over the phone and record your interview. All you need is a pair of headphones with a built-in microphone. Once recorded, our podcast team will optimize the audio, add the final touches, and produce the episode. We will distribute it across listening platforms and your team can share the link wherever applicable.

Editor Madeleine Winer has produced several episodes of What’s Treading with Tire Review that include interviews conducted over the phone and plans to increase these to deliver the latest industry news to listeners during this unique time. Check out a few of these episodes here:

Participating in a video interview or discussion is another way to interact with colleagues and share your message. Recording and posting the conversation allows others to view, comment on, and share the content. Editor of Fleet Equipment Jason Morgan has been interviewing industry professionals in a new series called Fleet Equipment Unscripted. Check out Episode 1:

Especially now, as developments rapidly emerge, our audiences rely on us for the latest industry news. Podcasts and video interviews provide a platform for you to contribute your voice and message to the ever-evolving conversation.
