Information Technology Manager

Babcox Media, Inc. (www.babcox.com), an Akron, Ohio-based B2B print, digital and video media company with concentration in the automotive aftermarket, powersports, performance, collision, commercial fleet, engine building and tire industries, is seeking a full time Information Technology Manager.

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organizing and execution of all IT functions. This includes directing all IT related operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions. The IT manager works closely with decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This position is responsible for defining and implementing IT policies, procedures and best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience is required;
  • At a minimum, eight to 10 years of IT management experience including but not limited to PC support & troubleshooting (Microsoft Windows and Apple OS), Server administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP), network administration (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN), and virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V);
  • Experience managing ShoreTel or similar VoIP telephony systems, Office 365 & cloud technologies, mobile devices (smart phones, tablets, etc.), networked copiers/printers;
  • Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies;
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to all audiences;
  • Analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience in creating budgets, contract negotiation, and purchasing;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Takes initiative in the development and completion of IT related projects;
  • Strong project management, organizational and time management skills;
  • Customer service skills;
  • Excellent problem solving ability;
  • Enthusiastic attitude to all parties;
  • High level of integrity and work ethic;
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office Suites and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud are required.

Multimedia Sales Representative

The Multimedia Sales Representative is responsible for growing new and existing business by selling the company’s wide range of advertising and marketing solutions relating to our print and digital brands inclusive of video and webinar services. Qualified candidates will have proven sales experience as well as exceptional customer service skills.  Media and/or Advertising sales experience is highly preferred.

Requirements:

  • Preferably, 3 years of proven outside sales experience and ideally in the capacity of media sales;
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Experience and familiarity with digital media and with social media as it relates to business-to-business marketing;
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining sales quotas;
  • Self-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit;
  • Goal driven with the ability to adapt to change  regarding new opportunities;
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team;
  • Enthusiastic attitude;

  • Working knowledge with CRM software;
